Projects
We regularly support clients with the labour intensive components of big transactional projects, deploying an experienced team with proven methodologies and technology-enabled solutions.
-
Following a major corporate transaction, Lighthouse supported a leading South African financial services group with the transfer of a large portfolio of material commercial agreements.
The project involved the preparation and management of more than 200 contract transfer documents, including cession, assignment and novation agreements, together with the negotiation and implementation of replacement agreements where existing arrangements could not be transferred. By combining legal expertise with structured project management, Lighthouse enabled the client to complete the transition efficiently while minimising disruption to business operations.
-
Lighthouse supported a multinational organisation on a large-scale technology contract due diligence and remediation project associated with a transaction valued at approximately £1 billion.
The engagement involved the review of more than 1,100 complex technology, software and services agreements across over 300 global vendors. The objective was to assess contractual flexibility, understand software licensing rights and identify opportunities to optimise the client's contract landscape following the transaction.
In addition to the due diligence exercise, Lighthouse supported the novation and renegotiation of key technology agreements with major global software vendors, helping to facilitate the successful completion of the transaction.
-
Lighthouse assisted a major African financial institution with a large-scale contract digitisation and legal records management initiative.
The project involved reviewing and extracting key data from more than 2,000 contracts to support migration into the client's contract management platform. Lighthouse also assisted with the rationalisation and categorisation of the contract portfolio, creating a more structured, accessible and manageable contracting environment.
The result was improved visibility, enhanced governance and a stronger foundation for ongoing contract lifecycle management.
-
Following a significant international divestment, Lighthouse supported a major financial institution in the review, procurement and renegotiation of critical technology supplier arrangements.
The project involved assessing the client's existing technology contract landscape, identifying commercial and contractual risks, supporting supplier transition activities and renegotiating agreements with key technology vendors.
By combining procurement, commercial and legal expertise, Lighthouse helped the client establish a more sustainable and commercially effective supplier environment while reducing risk and supporting future operational requirements.
-
Lighthouse led a large-scale software licence and technology contract review programme for one of Africa's leading investment institutions.
The engagement involved the review of software licensing, development and technology supplier agreements to identify contractual, licensing and operational risks. Where issues were identified, Lighthouse supported remediation activities and assisted the client in responding to software audit requirements.
The project provided the client with greater visibility into its software estate, improved licence compliance and reduced exposure to contractual and operational risk.
-
Lighthouse supported a multinational organisation with a large-scale contract remediation project in preparation for the implementation of GDPR and related data protection requirements.
The project involved reviewing supplier contracts, drafting and negotiating data protection amendments, and coordinating execution activities across a substantial supplier population. Through a combination of legal expertise, process management and scalable delivery capability, Lighthouse helped the client achieve compliance within required implementation timelines while minimising disruption to ongoing commercial relationships.
The programme established a consistent contractual framework for data protection compliance across the client's supplier ecosystem and reduced the legal and regulatory risks associated with non-compliance.
