    We’re looking for law students:

    > with a strong academic background;

    > with an interest in commercial and technology law;

    > with excellent communication and interpersonal skills;

    > who are comfortable working in a non-hierarchical, teamwork-driven environment, where knowledge sharing and learning are encouraged;

    > with the ability to apply legal skills in a practical, business oriented manner; and

    > who are highly motivated and keen to take on responsibility.

Key features

  • A focused training programme running throughout the year, with at least 2 hours a week dedicated to training and knowledge transfer (in addition to daily learning through active involvement in matters). Our training spans substantive legal knowledge, technical skills development and soft skills.

  • The opportunity to work side by side with our experienced commercial lawyers on complex transactions and the opportunity to lead and manage your own matters. Our dynamic approach to resourcing means that you’ll be working across all of our clients and the wide-ranging industries they operate in.

  • Exposure to matters governed by South African and English law as Lighthouse Law is regulated and advises under both legal systems.
