Demeye de Leeuw

 

Demeye completed her Bachelor of Laws (LLB) at Stellenbosch University and is currently completing her practical vocational training at Lighthouse Law. During her undergraduate studies, she served as the Secretary General of the Stellenbosch Moot Court Society and was invited to be a member of the Golden Key Honours Society based on academic merit. Additionally, Demeye was a student consultant at the Stellenbosch Law Clinic. Through this role, she gained invaluable experience in providing legal support to the community in matters such as divorce, wills and evictions.

Driven by a passion for the intersection of law and technology, Demeye further expanded her knowledge by participating in the AI & the Law course at Stellenbosch University which involved a comparative study of the global AI regulations.

With a keen interest in commercial law, Demeye is excited to be part of an innovative and driven team of legal professional at Lighthouse Law that operate from a commercially viable and solution-orientated mindset when addressing the client’s diverse needs. Outside of professional pursuits, Demeye enjoys hiking and is an avid reader.
